Inner Alchemy of Higher Self: With Conviction
Acrylic & Ink on Archival Paper
39x19 (individual size)
This piece is one of five works exploring mindsets and their inner alchemy. “Conviction” explores the strengths and weaknesses of my own convictions and what they look like in my alter ego.
In order to create this work, I respond to current shifting realities happening at the microcosmic and macrocosmic levels over a period. At the macrocosmic level, it seems all exists in order, but micro-cosmically, it seems all is in chaos, perpetual conflict or at opposites between humans, technology and nature.
My response is to organize and digest this chaos to open-up space to breathe within myself and the work, and do so by infusing my work with clusters of symbols organized in different ways. These symbols represent all interactive aspects of life on the planet, like biology, chemistry, alchemy, technology, mathematics, pop culture, tribal symbols and icons of my own, and they are all rooted in hope and survival.
