Fragments: Injury, Composition #V
Metal, ink, fabric & found objects 12x9 (Frame included) I am inspired by human courage and resilience across the globe. So many people facing adversity are determined to pick up the pieces and move forward after experiencing loss from natural disasters. It is inspiring!
In this piece, I empathize with injury and disability, which seems to be a common consequence of many experiencing natural disasters and surviving them. Physical injury takes second bench because just having life takes precedence. What often seems to happen is that after time has passed from recovering from disaster, the injury is often severe enough to affect the future and it is then that new feelings about surviving the disaster come through. It is then acceptance and courage are called upon forever. This collage is signed on the front and includes a certificate of originality. |
