Fragments: Home & Shelter, Composition #I
Metal, acrylic, ink, fabric & found objects 12x9 (Frame included) I am inspired by the human courage and resilience happening across the globe. So many people facing adversity are determined to pick up the pieces and move forward after experiencing loss from natural disasters. It is inspiring!
In this piece, I empathize with the loss of a home. The complete devastation of losing a sense of place; roof over head; a sanctuary. Yet, somehow, strength and courage come through to rebuild and bring back the life once had. Realizations of attachment to stuff in comparison to the value of life become central in the healing process. This collage is signed on the front and includes a certificate of originality. |
